As someone who is from Liberia and has been back many times this is always a welcomed & exciting trip. This trip is also an opportunity for me to continue learning about myself as I did so on the last trip in 2016. My hope for this time around is not just serve and learn but to also continue to be a bridge for those going that have never before and the fellow Liberians they will be meet and be welcomed by as well. I know God will doing something amazing and I pray that I’m available and ready for what that is!

Julia

I feel God is calling me back to Liberia! God has been opening doors for us to feed the community Princess came from, we are currently feeding 120 Children a month. I feel the calling to stretch my Faith in Him. I have a vision of a Adult Education and Training Center along with this feeding program. I’ve taken a business class from Restorers to get this plan in place. Part 2 of my Life calling.

Kenny
Madison Director of Reaching Up (Worship)
I am excited to learn about the culture of Liberia and working with their music ministry.

Laura
Team Leader; Director of Multicultural Living
I am blessed to be the leader of this great team! This is the third and largest team I have had the privilege of leading. As Director of Multicultural Living it is exciting to be able to create a space for cross-cultural, cross-denominational and international connections to be made, both individually and corporately. One of my personal dreams is to see more African Americans engaged in global ministry and entrepreneurship, this is the avenue to make it happen. Anticipating God doing some great things!

Leah
North Site Leadership Team
I have been apart of the Madison/Providence relationship since its inception in 1999. I have helped with a few delegations that have come here from Providence then I went with a team from Madison there in 2011 and that was a very eye opening experience for me. On that previous trip to Providence I helped in children's ministry, we visited schools and we all helped serve & clean up with the Friday Meal to 300+ people in the community. I look forward to serving at Providence and in the community. I am curious about the many growing ministers at Providence and how I can support them. Also I want to learn more about the history of Liberia.

Onesimus
College Student
I am interested in serving as a delegate so God can speak to me, and so I can make connections with people of my own.

Samuel
Special Guest Pastor
I have been married to my favorite person (Deborah) on the planet for 33 years. I look forward to being a part of the Madison Providence Delegation because of the opportunity to serve and learn.

Steve
Worship Team (sax, singing); Web Design
I hope to learn more about life and culture in Liberia, and while I hope to be a blessing to Providence Baptist Church's congregants and the surrounding countryside, I am humbled to know that I will receive a blessing as well... which is happening even before I have set foot in Liberia.

Susie
Madison Director of Discipleship & Relationships
Over the years I watched the relationship between the two churches grow in powerful ways. There is much to share and learn from each other in the areas of discipleship, prayer, pastoral care, community of faith development, adult bible study education, leadership development, soul healing, and more. I look forward to growing and experiencing through the relationships that have been and will continue to be formed --- the body of Christ supporting and encouraging each other.

Teresa
Mad/PBC Team Leader; Worship Team; Choir
I am excited and look forward to my first trip to Liberia. Recently I have prayed for God to present ways for me to serve Him and be of service to others. I believe God is calling me to forgo comfort and familiarity in order to grow in my faith and to serve others. I see this trip to Liberia as an answer to my prayers as I look forward to experiencing God's presence in new ways while serving with and learning from others in a different context and culture.

Terisa
Youth Ministry; Accounting
I wish to build and maintain the relationship I made on my first trip to Liberia, and to become more cross-culturally educated on Liberia and our sister church, Providence.
